Fishing, Hunting and Relaxation

For years, Seboomook has been synonymous with fishing and hunting. Whether you are trolling the pristine waters of Moosehead for trout, salmon or togue, or fishing the banks of many streams for brook trout, some of the best fishing in Maine is available here. We sell resident and non-resident hunting and fishing licenses.

Undoubtedly, the same applies to hunting. Trophy deer, moose and bear have been taken by "Seboomook Hunters".

Book early for November cabin rentals in this deer hunter's paradise to stalk the legendary Big Bucks of Seboomook. HUNTERS, we have cabins available for rent in August, October, and November.

If simple relaxation is your goal, we offer acres of opportunities to hike, canoe or explore the logging roads where wildlife abounds. The Seboomook area is rich in both natural and man-made history. The early Native Americans used the "Northwest Carry" as a stop over in their wilderness journeys. And the Great Northern Paper Company's Seboomook Landing Farm was once situated here, which also served as a POW camp during World War II.

Today, Seboomook Wilderness Campground stands as a compliment to those bygone days, with a "family-oriented" wilderness campground concept while continually upgrading the facilities and services for your total camping enjoyment. Seboomook is a great camping experience for children and our playground provides many hours of outside fun.

Rick and Jeannine are your hosts. Come and visit us and take a step out of time. We shall do our best to make your stay the most enjoyable camping experience you have ever had.  Come experience the remote north woods of Maine.
